Cursor vs Windsurf in 2026 — which one stuck for you?

I've bounced between both for three months. Cursor's agent mode feels more reliable on large refactors, but Windsurf understands my repo with way less hand-feeding of context. Pricing is basically a wash now. For people using either one daily: what actually made you stay?

Honestly switched back to plain VS Code + Claude in the terminal. Less magic, fewer surprises, and I always know what changed.

Windsurf for me — multi-file edits land with fewer hallucinated imports. But I rebuild my rules file monthly either way.

Cursor, purely because tab completion has gotten scary good. Windsurf impressed me for a week, then I hit context limits on our monorepo.
